Dec 16-17, 2007 Snow storm animation - 24h in 24 sec
A major Snow Storm hit Montreal on December 16th-17th, 2007. Snow fall started just after 6:30 a.m. with a peek begining of the afternoon. Some weather observers saw ligthnings.
At the end of the event, we received between 30 cm and 35 cm of snow, we had blowing snow and wind was arround 40 to 50 km/h (Gust at 56 km/h/). In order to resume what happened I installed
a webcam and took a picture every 2 minutes. Here is the result after the compilation of the 756 images ... 24 hours in 24 seconds. Take a look at the little stick (80 cm high) and check the wind arround 4:00 a.m.
